This weeks collage from one of my sketchbooks: part of a poster with magazine images.

I went down to Santa Barbara because a short film I produced, I Hate the Color Red, was selected for The Outrageous Film Festival. Jazmin Jamias, the film's writer and director and I took a road trip to this picturesque city and spent a bunch of time in the dark watching movies ;)

I really love the quote in this week's spread from one of my journals: "It's more about the character then the destination" words from my directing instructor, Caroline Blair.

Last month I went to The Exploratorium for the first time with First Exposures. Wow! What an amazing place.

David Altmejd uses "plexiglas, quartz, polystyrene, expandable foam, epoxy clay, epoxy gel, resin, synthetic hair, clothing, leather shoes, thread, mirror, plaster, acrylic paint, latex paint, metal wire, glass eyes, sequin, ceramic, synthetic flowers, synthetic branches, glue, gold, feathers, steel, coconuts, aqua resin, burlap, lighting system including fluorescent lights, Sharpie ink, wood, coffee grounds, polyurethane foam" as materials and that's just for one of his large scale sculptural pieces, The Flux and the Puddle.
