This small collage features a quote from "Madness and Civilization" by Michel Foucault that was cut from a Sister Nagsters script. It was turned into a large 2'x3' collagraph, Day and Night.

This essay by Neil Gaiman on where he gets ideas really hits close to home for me. If you read this blog regularly, you know that I post weekly pages from my sketchbooks. My journals are the heart of my artistic practice and are filled with more ideas than I will ever be able to produce in 10 lifetimes. I like it like that!

I'm a fan of Tarkovsky, so it was a pleasant surprise to find that his Polaroid photos have been published! 60 of his Polaroids from the 70s and 80s have been published in Instant Light: Tarkovsky Polaroids by Thames and Hudson.

Another inside cover collage from one of my sketchbooks. It's the same spread as last week's collage, but I like them better as separate pieces.

Pier 14 offers great views of the Bay Bridge and the Bay Lights installation by Leo Villareal and the new exhibit of Soma by Flaming Lotus Girls. I took a few still photos while shooting a video story on Soma for The Outsider – click over and check it out!

I first saw the Notorious R.B.G. meme on Reddit and had to share it liberally. I completely missed the fact that there is an awesome blog dedicated to this powerful, dedicated judge.

I follow Glen Stovall and find his marketing emails powerful and fascinating. Because of Glenn, I committed to 30 days of blogging at the beginning of the month and then promptly got sick and behind. So here I am, starting again! Today is day 1 and my goal is to get this blog back up to daily posts.
