Exploring the Sculpture Garden at Recology

This is my second visit to Recology SF; AKA the San Francisco dump. San Francisco has a massive recycling program that includes compost. Recology is where the sorting happens. In addition to having educational programs about recycling and waste management, they have supported an artist in residence program since 1990. Here are a few pieces that caught my eye.

Following Chinatown Pretty

I love the celebration of textures, patterns, and colors that delight the eye when visiting Chinatown. Chinatown Pretty is a blog that "celebrates the street style of seniors living (and grocery shopping) in San Francisco’s Chinatown". I especially love the close up shots showing the details of each outfit.

Exploring POPOS: 555 Mission Street

These cell phone shots are from 555 Mission St. There are lots of benches, table seating, cool glass tiles, and climbing wall vines plus some awesome sculptures.

Exploring Fisherman's Wharf

My awesome brother-in-law, Matthew, came to town for his job and was staying in the Fisherman's Wharf area. So of course we went to hang out with him and wander around this scenic part of San Francisco. I think that this is the first time I have walked out to the very end of Aquatic Park Pier. The view from there is amazing!

Exploring the Bay by Sailboat

I went sailing on the bay! Another fun outing with First Exposures! My Uncle Dave has a sail boat, but I haven't been on it since in high school. Also this was my first time ever being on the bay in a boat that wasn't a ferry. We sailed past the Golden Gate Bridge and then around Alcatraz in a two hour tour.
