The Week in Review – June 22

I'm busy these days so I'm going to start a Sunday round up of what's going on in the rest of my digital and analog world!

Last weekend started with a rally for AB1839 - a California bill to keep filmmaking jobs in state. I met up with Dave and we hung out at the Reddit picnic in Golden Gate Park. Sunday I went to the Norcal Pirate Fest with some friends! Stay tuned for that story. It was a jam packed weekend!

This week I started a new gig as a mentor at First Exposures! I'm working with a great bunch of students, teachers, and fellow mentors. This week the students got the cameras they'll be using all summer and we went on a photo walk through Chinatown - one of my favorite San Francisco neighborhoods. It looks like it will be a great time!

Over on the Monkey blog, I wrote about Apple's announcement to serve up Bing results over Google in the newest OSX's Spotlight. I'm fascinating that Apple has paired up with long time rival, Microsoft for it's new OS search results.

I've also submitted my first video stories to The Outsider. I'll post a quick note over here after it goes live!

Finally, I'm unreasonably annoyed that I didn't get a female super hero choice when answer one of those dumb "How Old Are You?" quizzes. I'm 26 - HA! I wanted to pick Wonder Woman, but I got Iron Man, Spider Man, Captain America and Superman. Um. Not one of the four options could be a female superhero? Where's my SHERO!? I don't even remember what I chose. Dis. Gus. Ted.

Have a great week!
