I'm in love with the psychedelic memes over at Feminist Lisa Frank. Frank's iconic rainbow colored designs paired with feminist quotes are a match made in heaven.
OMG Literally Dead is a brilliant parody Instagram account mocking this alternate use of the word. The account documents the adventures of Skellie, a life size skeleton, who emulates common self portrait poses. Smart and clever, OMG Literally Dead pokes fun at the vanity selfie phenomenon.
I'm following Incidental Comics – a blog featuring clever comics by Grant Snider. Most of his comics are about the creative process including writing, drawing and being an artist. I've included a couple here, but you should definitely go over and check out the entire series of smart, funny reflections on creating and other artsy stuff.
WTF secrets is an amazing blog featuring weekly illustrated versions of these secrets – many of which were first posted over on a Reddit thread. Some are definitely NSFW (not the illustrations, but the text) depending on your job, and others are just plain disturbing.
I'm following Kevin Weird, the artist behind Flux Machine. He takes vintage photos and creates animated GIFs that are filled with ghostly images and strange happenings.
I'm following Javier Peréz over on Instagram. I shared his En Puntas piece last October, which I still love, but his Instagram account is full of whimsical photos that use everyday objects in unique, creative ways.
I'm following The Hali Hijabi. I love this entire Tumblr, but today I'm going to focus on the amazing hijab cosplay section. I absolutely love seeing these beautiful costumes and the creativity behind them.
I love the blog, Feminist Disney: Social Critique Through the Lens of Disney and Other Popular Social Media. This critical look at Disney, the princesses, and both gender and POC stereotypes is well written and funny.
