Tonight's sunset was so gorgeous I just had to grab my camera and share a few photos. I'm using my "new" tele converter on my ancient 105mm lens to abstract the colors and clouds. Shot on location hanging out my bathroom window and inspired by "the changing landscape" theme that our First Exposures session is exploring this summer.

This week I'm still exploring close to home! At the head of the Ohlone trail behind our place is a beautiful wildflower area. The first time I took pictures here was years ago and I met the gardener. He's an older gentleman and was knowledgeable about photography and we had a lovely chat. I asked him how many people helped him maintain the area and he replied that he worked alone. The area has tripled in those years and we have a gorgeous garden to enjoy. It's a pretty sweet deal for apartment dwellers. If any botanical gurus would like to help me name them, I'll update this post!

I know last week, I promised more exploring in San Francisco, but I'm still working on getting those images sorted and processed. Instead, this week we're exploring close to home! I've been playing

I've been exploring close to home these days, so I thought I would share some photos from around my neighborhood... Most of these pictures were taken at our little local park, Canyon Trail Park.

It rained lighty all day here yesterday, although I'm sure it's not enough to help our drought.
