Exploring El Cerrito - The Ohlone Trail

I know last week, I promised more exploring in San Francisco, but I'm still working on getting those images sorted and processed. Instead, this week we're exploring close to home! I've been playing around with using some of my older lenses. Since I started shooting in the eighties, I have quite a collection! It was more than doubled a few years ago when my dear friend, Carrie, gave me a complete camera kit she wasn't using. So much glass! Last week, I took out the wide angle lens I haven't played with very much (28mm, 1:3.5). Honestly, I was surprised that it looked similar to my 50mm prime. I'll have to play with it some more! My toy fisheye camera had distorted my views. I'll be taking this out more, just to see what else it can do. OK, that's enough technical details! Here are the pictures from the awesome Ohlone trail that runs behind our place.

I swear this is the same type of tree... seasons in California can be very strange. It seems like something is always blooming and something else is dying.
