Upcycled journal at archive.org

Archive.org Logo

I received an e-mail this week from a nice man named Jesse Bell who had purchased one of my blank upcycled journals at the SF Underground Market that I participated in earlier this year. He has digitized it and added it to archive.org! I think it's cool to be included in this digital library and am hoping to add some of my books with actual content to the archive as well. Here's the link if you want to check it out yourself! www.archive.org/details/redspiralbowling00laur

The book is one of 13 journals that I made using the same methods as my own sketchbooks. Papers of many textures, patterns and colors are combined with pre-printed materials and reject prints from my own work. Each of these books is covered with gifted fabric rejects from a friend of mine who is an amazing quilt artist. New boards, waxed linen thread, and archival glue are used, but the rest of the book is completely reused.
