Charlotte “Lotte” Reiniger is a German animator and the creator of the magical short, Papageno. Set to Mozart's "The Magical Flute" this creation myth has it all: shape changing birds, a big bad guy, a devastated hero, and a happy ending. I especially love the fertility symbolism at the end.
