I love this curvy girl reminding reminding you to value yourself.

Inspired by Jaymee Laws. An illustration of Angela Davis with text of her quote "you have to act as if it were possible to radically transform the world. And you have to do it all the time." Illustration by Jaymee Laws

Anglea Davis' words are a call to action which has stayed true over time.

Inspired by Jaymee Laws. A painting of a woman with roses in her blue hair by Jaymee Laws with the Frida Kahlo quote "I paint flowers so they will not die."

Another, softer series of paintings include inspirational quotes. I always love Frida Kahlo and her romantic side. See her letters to Georgia O'Keefe for some prime examples.

Being up in Niagara Falls means spring still seems far, but I can only hope it'll be here soon.

Inspired by Jaymee Laws. A portrait painting called Megan by Jaymee Laws is of a woman looking off to the right, with butterfly wings, in front of a dark night sky with a crescent moon.

I think her portrait paintings are my very favorite. This one is called Meghan. She could be the goddess of transformation.

A portrait painting called Kaitlin by Jaymee Laws. It's an image of a woman in glasses surrounded by airborne books on a background of pink, purple, and blue.

And as a bookbinder and book lover, I had to share Kaitlin. The books become flapping, cacooning companions.

Josie by Jaymee Laws is a painting of Joie of Josie and the Pussycats.

Her pop culture girls are quirky and cute. Check out Josie -- of Josie and the Pussycats…
