Nice Girls Don't Smell is the third in a series of feminist zines exploring rigid expectations for women's thoughts, actions, and behavior. Collages of vintage ads create an overwhelming standard for female hygiene. Lysol douching; husbands leaving their wife and child; fear of gossips; and other toxic messages combine to visually represent the onslaught of messages women are subjected to. Although the ads are vintage, the message is still the same – possibly even more so with the pressure of social media appearances.
