Rearranging Interiors

So I've already missed two days in my post daily goal. C'est la vie. This week has been a bit unproductive. I did get a client's project in on deadline yesterday and sorted some location photos for a director that I've been working with. But that's about it.

Somedays I can't get "real" work done. By real I mean the grant writing, photo and video editing, applying for shows, client work. The time spent creating art. Today is one of those days. So I've been sorting my house. Moving furniture around, checking in the many boxes of crap for stuff I can Freecycle. Gathering garbage and finding long lost tumbleweed sized cat fur balls rolling in neglected corners and under unmoved furniture.

For me this kind of sorting, cleaning, and rearranging is good for the brain. Although the clutter and disarray get a lot worse during the process because of the stuff on every surface, I can see the end goal. My brain can focus on one finished corner; one corner of sanity, cleanliness and organization; and feels calm and satisfied.

I've also been working on cleaning and tuning up my new (to me) Raleigh 10 speed. To me, like a small kid, this bike represents the wind in my hair and the ability to get a little further from my front door.

I'll try to get back to the art and pretty pictures over here soon!
