Variations on Normal is the awesome place on the web where Dominic Wilcox resides. I discovered the blog about his Speed Creating project and I was hooked. After looking around a bit, I was thrilled to see he was the creator of these super cool army figure bowls.
For the Speed Creating project, Dominic does something creative every day for 30 days. Shadow drawings, bread lamps, a shelf from colored pencils and 27 other creative endeavors. One of my favorites is the pop up specially designed to go on a train food tray. So awesome to imagine the surprise of a random commuter discovering this whimsical piece.
The hill shoes is a perfect example of how his whimsical illustrations come to life and become silly real life inventions.
