Pictures from Poppa is a new blog featuring midcentury photography by the blogger's grandfather. The images really speak to my own heritage of being raised with photographs and evokes fond memories of my grandfather, Leo, who took some amazing photos during his time serving in WWII.
My grandfather, Sidney Kirschner, traded a pack of cigarettes for a camera on his way to Germany as a soldier in WWII.
