Exploring: Point Reyes

Recently I took a day trip up to Point Reyes with my friend Anita. The day was beyond beautiful and the temperatures were in the 80s – almost unheard of here.

Our first stop was the Historic Pierce Point Ranch where my love of ruins and old buildings and rust was satiated.

The historic dairy farm has a variety of whitewashed buildings and some of them are even open for exploring the interiors of old barracks and barns.

We hiked up the Tomales Point Trail where the ocean crashes on one side of the Tomales Point Trail and the calm Tomales Bay dominates the other.

A herd of Tule Elks was very noisy and active running from peak to valley.

A beautiful day trip – good friend, good food, exploring, hiking and photographing!
