A series of four hand made books featuring hand made paper. Each paper is created to emphasize one of the four elements earth, air, fire, and water. The earth book has soft dark brown pages and a textured fabric cover. Water is half as large and has crisp, rippled pages and a smooth leather cover. Journal entries have been copied with a water soluable pen and then washed away. The air book is half the size of the water book and has the same leather covers, but with soft, smooth cotton pages. These pages have backwards fragments of letters, symbolising faded memories. Small and crispy, the fire book contains layered textile covers and dark pages that have been burnt.
